Painting First or Tile First

by John Bryant from Rio Rancho, New Mexico

I am doing a remodel that needs painting throughout, I am also doing some tile work. Should I tile and then paint or paint and then do the tile work? It will be flooring and back splash areas and bathrooms.

Do the painting first. After the tile installation is done you can come back and touch-up where needed. This way you can finish all of the painting without having to worry about the new tile.
