For a novice painter such as myself, which is the best procedure in repainting an already occupied home? Sprayer or rollers and brush?

Using a brush and roller is the best way to paint in a occupied home. This way overspray and the dust a paint sprayer produces can be avoided.

The only time a sprayer is better is if there are difficult large areas or high ceilings. In this case a paint sprayer will do a better job.
